Changing table only??
I have a entry level table that the rails are wearing badly due to poor design. I suspect that at some point, I am going to have to replace the gantry. If I want to keep my old controller and software, how hard is it to program the Mach 3 software to run a different gantry? The system I have now uses Cat6 cables to run the 4 motors. Will I be able to simply plug the new table in and start cutting? Also, has anyone built their own table and if so, did it save you money and was it worth it? Would I be able to use the stepper motors from my old gantry? Thanks for the help.

snowman , I am just a newbie but I am pretty sure if youre new table is the same size you should be good to go.
and you can use the same wires for the same motors.
do you have limit switches ? make sure you wire them right.
if its just the rails that's bad why not just replace the rails ?
before you take the motors and wires apart mark them with masking tape and lable with marker same with motors
