Fireplace Woodholder

Post by outofoperation »

Hello Sirs,

I like this funny forum and want you show my fireplace woodholder. I have to cheat a little, because I got no Plasmacutter (not yet), but a friendly guy with a laser cutter helped me... hope, this doesn?t matter ;)

First i stole a pic of a dead tree anywhere in I-net, vectorised it with Inkscape, scaled it up and send the file to laserguy:

cutted + naked :D

powder coated (i work in company that makes metal ceilings):

At work i have welded a small frame from square tube:

and planked it with white chipboard -note the little flap in front to store lighter and so on- and screwed the tree at it:

To protect the wall against dirt and mud from the wood, i mounted a few sheetmetal tiles, which i have bend at job, powder coated and easy to clean:

And here we go:

Hope i have nobody bored about the many pictures and my possible bad english

PS: if i ever got a plasma cutting cnc, i will surely pay the fee here, i know it?s worth every $...

from Germany with best wishes,
Steff

Burned a hole in my wallet, but who cares... today it?s Christmas
Next step will be building a CNC table after the wallet-hole is overgrowned

I?m happy like a steak , as we say in Germany

regards, Steff
