Repair needed for Plasmacam controller, any ideas ?

Hello there,
Writing this on behalf of my husband, James. He has a 13 year old PlasmaCam DHC2 and the controller is no longer working. We know it's definitely the controller as we had a most amazing guy lend us his PlasmaCam controller to try and our machine fired up no problem.

Had the obligatory conversation with Plasmacam which involves the software upgrade and additional add on's required (torch height etc). We are being held to ransom by them and really do not want to hand over thousands for what could be a simple electronic repair.

Does anybody know of a super electronics person who will take a look at our controller and potentially repair it ?
We are in Dorset, United Kingdom.
