Torch won’t fire when THC is on

Post by Jonjeff »

I recently bought a 4x4 table with a hypotherm 65, and mach 3 , I believe it's an older version. the THC isn't working, when i turn it on in mach 3 the torch won't fire. If it's cutting and I turn it on it stops cutting. Any help would be appreciated.

Tom has some experience with Mach3. Perhaps he will step in here and answer your questions.

HI What is the name of the THC you are using? On some of the THC unit the Arc OK signal go through them and it may be interrupting that signal from Mach 3. There may be other reasons too. You say it will not fire the torch if the THC is powered on. Can you fire the torch using the F5 or fire button in Mach 3? Many use the output 1 for torch fire shown on the diagnostic page in Mach 3 this should be on if the torch is being fired.

I'm not sure what the name of the THC is, I will see if F5 works. I can fire the torch in mach 3. But assoon as I turn on THC the torch stops. I will check that input as well. Thanks for the help.
