Faking an OK TO MOVE signal
Does anyone know how you can fake an OK TO MOVE signal if you wanted the machine to function normally without a plasma cutter on it? Hoping Tom from C&CNC reads this, I am confident he would know.

What are you trying to do. If it is just a dry run just check Disable torch and run it. Or are you adding another attachment like a Pen tool or easy scriber. More information would help as in what is your final goal.

Turning off the DTHC does it if you have Mach3

Thanks guys. Adding an easyscriber and it sits still waiting for an OK to move signal. It is running Mach 3 on a rudimentary DIY build with no THC. A buddy helped set up Mach for me because it was over my head. I figured the best way was to just fake the signal somehow.

Re: Faking an OK TO MOVE signal
Its setup wrong. With no THC there is no need for a OK to move Typically the Ok to Move in MACH is via the THC ON named input in the Ports and Pins /Input signals . On some THC ,they handle that input and send send a Hold signal to MACH but you dont have a THC to send anything. Perhaps someone with the Easyscriber can outline how its setup to work without firing the torch or using an input for arc ok.

Re: Faking an OK TO MOVE signal
Thanks for chiming in Tom. Neither of us had any experience with Mach, my buddy was better with computers so he was able to fumble through it and make it work. The cable that plugs into the Hypertherm had that OK to move signal so he used it and made it work. I am hesitant to change anything at this point because it actually works pretty good for me. That being said am I better to change everything in Mach to eliminate the OK to move or can I just send a fake signal and leave my machine as it is?tcaudle wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 11:03 am Its setup wrong. Re: Faking an OK TO MOVE signal
If you are using Sheetcam just use the countour Operation. It negates the THC. No lead in or lead out. Bring the easyscribe tip to just hit and then give it about .080" more(don't quote me on that value, I am not at my machine) and then Zero the Z. Not a Mach person so I don't know but I do know this works for CommandCNC.
