This piece had a dropout and was about to hit the recycle bin. So, why not play with it.
I wanted an old, pitted iron look. The piece was shot with Silver vein, cured and then shot from behind (only) with Statuary Bronze, to get just the wrap-around effect.
Too much Bronze powder,,, a little less next time.
The picture doesn't capture the deep green aged-bronze patina, nor does it show the amount of the silver high-lites. But it's the right direction. What a wonderful business we're in. The powder coaters would puke at this job. But for us, it's 'ART"!

Re: Powder wrapping.
I would have just welded the dropout back in, I have to do that every now and then. The finish looks very nice!

That was my first thought. But them I looked under the table.twicecustom wrote:I would have just welded the dropout back in, I have to do that every now and then. The finish looks very nice!
Three months since I cleaned under there. I'd never find that teeny piece.
I even thought about moving that letter to an uncut part of the sheet and recreating one.

I've done that cut that letter out then cut out the center and weld it back in the original saves redoing it
