Nice Deer Scene to Share!

Post by FreeDXF.com »

Hello Everyone,

Here is a nice deer scene that I designed up today. The design work should be cut approximately 24" wide by 22" tall. Please post a picture to this thread if you get a chance to cut the design work out. Enjoy!

Sincerely,

Wow, Very nice work! I am new to the cnc plasma world. I've only had my table up and running for about a week now. What thickness of steel do most people cut something like this out of? I of course now know I should have bought a Hypertherm for the fine cut ability. I have a Thermal Dynamics A80 and running a 30A tip I can't seem to save the small details on thin gauge material. I am using a water table and even with it touching material some of the fine details get too hot. I haven't tried this file yet. I need to learn how to modify the cut order to keep things from getting hot as well. Guess this should have been somewhere else. Sorry for the long post. Again, nice work.

Welcome to the wonderful world of CNC Plasma cutting. The design work provided would be ideally cut from 1/16" or 1/8" mild steel. Your 30 amp tip should be capable of cutting the design work quite nicely with good results. As long as your cut width is .0625" or smaller you should be able to cut the design work perfectly the first time. Once you determine how to re-order the cut paths you should be able to minimize the heat build up within the design work. Good luck with your cutting! JH
