Post by superoverenginered »

My father in law asked it I could make him a bumper for his farmtruck....I said sure...Cause everyone knows that the stock bumper on pickups are junk....so here is my start....I think its coming along quite nicely.....

Looks good, although probably a little super over engineered.

WOW, are you working on the suspension next. What is that 1/2 plate. The deer is in rut now, sure would like one of those on my truck.

Someday when aliens come down and look over everything that once was, in one piece, intact or not rusted to dust there will be that bumper.......

One of them will end up putting it on their vehicle and the universe will be at the demise of that one bumper!

SWEET bumper! :D

Thanks guys!....It's coming along....the plate attaching it to the frame is 1/2inch...the uprights are actually 5/8 plate....Im actually surprised on how heavy it really isn't...I figured it would weight the front of the truck down but hasn't moved it yet....The rest of the bumper will be 7ga....the headlight guards will be 1inch hex shaft we having laying around.....my father in law has some cows that get a bit testy sometimes....atleast this way he can givem a lil nudge or a big nudge in the right direction..lol...I'll post more pics after its done...thanks again!!

Its amazing how much of a nudge them ranchers give the cows.. Better to be too big than have it bend over. :-)

I used duplicolor..Good stuff...The gun they sell to apply it was junk..so after bout an 1.5 hours of messin with it I threw it aside and poured the liner in my old gravity fed paint gun and cranked up the psi to it and sprayed it just fine....
