Re: John Deere Firering
Yes. I can if I have a closed path file from pipeliner. I would like a closed path file of it myself. I am creating a Harley burn ring I will trade. Plasma Cam software allows you to export closed paths as DXF files. I am in the process of doing this with over 300 PCM closed path designs. My website is http://www.stonemountainart.com

Re: John Deere Firering
Thanks. When you export or send cut paths (blue color) from Plasma Cam they won't re-connect when down loaded. I sent one to a water jet cutter and she couldn't use it. When you export closed paths as DXF files (almost all CNC macines can use DXF files) all you have to do is click "K" when imported into Plasma Cam software to change them to closed paths (purple color). I'll get back to you on the Harley fire ring - almost done.

Re: John Deere Firering
Sorry, I meant different software (other than Plasm Cam) can't use cut paths downloaded from Plasma Cam as far as I know. Plasma Cam software will use them no problem.

Re: John Deere Firering
I've tried them all and part of the file is in Plasma cam cut paths. The first one works in Plasma Cam as cut paths. When you export Plasma Cam cut paths as DXF files it messes them up. Use browse and send them that way or copy them to a folder and send that way. The PCM closed paths will be all purple (or whatever color that is), open paths are white, and cut paths are blue. You can export closed paths as DXF files that can be used in other software. Maybe you can't find the closed path file you used to create it? This might help. When I create something new I save both a closed path and a cut path together in one file like John Deere fire ring. Then I create another file such as John Deere fire ring 1 to lay out the parts on the table to cut. That makes it easier to import John Deere fire ring into other files you have open. Make sense? Thanks

Re: John Deere Firering
I'm really getting lost here, I have put many drawings on here with no trouble, some have had to have it in dxf, & I go back to the coral draw version & send that & it works, sorry for the problems I am a pipeline welder by trade & not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
