Oldsoulmetal,
Those are very nice.
I like the torch look a lot.
I like powder coating, liquid effects and others as well but on some items that real torch color is hard to top.
I would really like to start experimenting with the torch heat coloring.
They look great.

Excellent. I love the Fairies and the torch effect. How do you do the torch effect without warping things and what kind of gas do you use? I'll have to borrow my welder friend's torch and try it. Looks real cool!

I've used a plain old propane/MAPP torch. It's tricky but rewarding.

Re: few things i've accomplished lately
i use oxy, acetylene with a small brazing tip. about 3 lbs pressure on acetylene and 10-20 on oxygen. this set up seems to allow me some finesse control with the heat. remember to pull of before you get to the color you want. the metal will keep changing color after you remove heat. i also pre- heat a area with the torch so that i spread the heat around. and then go back to the section im coloring. when preheating im not bringing out any color just tring to relax the metal. it seems to help with warpage. but it doesnt eliminate it. hope this helps

Thanks for the advice. Sounds kind of tricky but it does look nice. I met a guy in Pana, Illinois who used a propane torch to create the color and then clear coated the pieces.

I like to keep the torch in one hand and a spritzer bottle of water in the other to help freeze colors. You don't need water often but at times it can come in really handy.
