3 layered sign
Did this for a customer thought I would share. The bronze layer is 1/2" stand off the Bear layer is 1/4" stand off and the COMMUNICATIONS is 3/4" off the silver layer. I had to hang it in it crate before I could take the pic the thing weighs like 50+ pounds. The blemish on the bottom left of the "B" is a reflection off the high gloss clear.

Re: 3 layered sign
I off set the letters with different sized alum spacers. when I build a design like this I add all the holes to the base layer and copy them to the higher layers, the top layer the holes get offset to be smaller, when I cut it out the top layers holes get drilled and tapped to accept a 10-24 sheet metal bolt. I cut off the head of the bolt and screw them all the way in until just the top is showing then weld them in place and grind it flat. Doing it this way no holes or bolt heads are ever seen.
